Strategic Plan: Dane County in Action
Dane County’s new strategic plan sets a clear direction for how county government will serve residents and deliver results in the years ahead. Built around four core pillars, Community Services Delivery, Economic Development, Justice System Improvement, and Environmental Leadership, it reflects a commitment to long-term planning, collaboration, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
County Executive Agard first laid out this vision during Dane County’s first-ever State of the County Address, where she highlighted the administration’s focus on planning ahead, working across departments, and delivering results for residents. More than a vision document, the plan is a roadmap for action that will help guide county operations, budgeting, and policy priorities as Dane County continues to grow and meet the needs of its communities.
