Dane County Lifts Slow No Wake on Lake Kegonsa; Orders Eased for Lakes Monona, Waubesa

Lake Levels Continue to Fall During Dry Weather
Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, Sheriff Dave Mahoney, and County Board Chairman Scott McDonell announced a number of changes today to “Slow No Wake Orders” for the Yahara chain of lakes.  According to the order:  
Lake Kegonsa:  500-foot “Slow No Wake” eased to normal operating rules
Lakes Monona and Waubesa:  Full “Slow No Wake” eased to 500-feet
Lake Mendota:  Remains 500-foot “Slow No Wake”
Full “Slow No Wake” orders remain for Cherokee Marsh/Cherokee Lake along with Squaw Bay. 
The “Slow No Wake” changes take effect at 12:00 p.m. today (Thursday July 31st).
