Nominations are being accepted for the 2009 Dane County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Recognition Award, Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk announced today.
The award will be presented at the 23rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. City-County Observance on the evening of Monday, January 19, 2009, according to Isadore Knox, Jr., Director Dane County Office of Equal Opportunity. (Specific time and location forthcoming.)
Since 1991, the Dane County Executive has presented the award to outstanding individuals for their efforts as leaders in Dane County and for exemplifying the true legacy of Dr. King.
Nomination forms are available in the Dane County Executive’s Office, 210 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Room 421, Madison, WI, and on the Dane County web site: www.co.dane.wi.us. To have the nomination form faxed to you, please call Isadore Knox at 266-4192.
Completed nomination forms are due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2009.
