Men Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Stop

Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two men after they attempted to run from a traffic stop on Thursday morning

At 10:15 am, a Sheriff’s deputy pulled over a 2013 Dodge Caravan near Gannon Avenue and Thurber Avenue in the town of Blooming Grove. Both occupants of the vehicle took off on foot. Chaz D. Walsh, age 29, of Madison, was quickly apprehended by a deputy. A short time later, Travis T. Walsh, age 38, of Janesville, was found casually smoking a cigarette in the back of a cargo trailer in the backyard of the 400 block of Gannon Avenue. The brothers are now being held in the Dane County Jail.

Chaz is facing charges of resisting, possession of an illegally obtained prescription, and a parole violation. Travis is tentatively charged with OWI-6th offense, resisting, and possession of cocaine.
