Fatal Crash-Burke

Madison, WI- October 11, 2024 – On Thursday, October 10th, at 10:46 pm, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a fatal crash involving one vehicle and one pedestrian on southbound U.S. Highway 151, north of Reiner Rd in the town of Burke.
A 69 year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants of the vehicle were not injured. Crash reconstruction experts from the Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate, which closed southbound U.S. Highway 151 at Main St. in the City of Sun Prairie. Southbound U.S. Highway 151 reopened around 2:20 am.
The man’s identity will be released by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
