April is National County Government Month, which underscores how counties achieve healthy, safe and vibrant communities.  Nationally, 3,069 counties serve more than 330 million Americans to provide essential services.

Dane County provides services from A to Z, the airport to the zoo.  In that vein, the County Board will consider several items at tonight’s meeting that demonstrate the wide range of services that county government provides including public safety and criminal justice, human services, public health, public works, conservation, economic development, culture, education, and recreation.
A few of those items include:

•    2023 RES-299 Approving Agreements For An Affordable Housing Project At 625 Sand Pearl Lane In The City Of Madison DCDHS - HAA Division
•    2023 RES-340 Approving Agreements For An Affordable Housing Project At 322 East Washington Avenue In City Of Madison DCDHS - HAA Division

“County government touches almost every resident’s life in one way or another,” said County Board Chair Patrick Miles. "As an elected official, it is my responsibility to protect our residents' health, well-being, and safety as we make our decisions.”
