(Madison, WI) - With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) announced that it is ready to kick off what is anticipated to be a busy holiday travel season. The airport is pleased to announce the re-opening of International Lane’s improved road right next to the terminal, and a return to the usual hourly parking and traffic pattern within the parking garage. Seasonal non-stop flights to Orlando, Fort Myers and Las Vegas have returned, and the airport’s popular Holiday Tunes in the Terminal is back in the south lobby of the main terminal, with the public invited to enjoy performances by community and student groups from December 16-22, along with a Community Sing-Along on December 17th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition, as part of November’s Aviation History Month, DCRA commissioned Wisconsin artist Neal Aspinall to create a series of original illustrations that depict the history of commercial flight at the airport. The illustrations will be unveiled at a press conference at the airport on Tuesday, November 22, at 10 a.m.

“The Dane County Regional Airport has offered area residents commercial flights since 1939, and it is exciting to celebrate that history and look at how far air travel has come since then with this series of dedicated illustrations,” said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi. ”As we look toward the future with the expansion of the South Terminal and its opening in 2023, we will be writing a new chapter in aviation history at MSN,” he said.

DCRA encourages holiday travelers to fly MSN and enjoy the benefits of close parking, shorter lines, local food and beverage, and amenities such as free Wi-Fi and pet therapy dogs. The Dane County Regional Airport provides seamless, low-stress, and affordable options for both leisure and business travelers, with non-stop and one-stop convenient arrivals and departures to cities including: Philadelphia, Phoenix, Denver, New York, Charlotte, and one-stop access to worldwide destinations.

In addition, DCRA offers travelers a wide range of services aimed at making travel easier and more convenient as well, including a Business Center with training and conference rooms, family lounges, and private mother’s lounges. Visit msnairport.com for more information.
